Our Project Cars
The V2 → HN1
The V2 is the developmental foundation of Humble Nomad Automotive and will evolve into the Humble Nomad 1 (HN1) ahead of its debut at the Replica & Self Build Show at Stoneleigh Park. It represents the transition from enthusiast project to manufacturer intent — a working prototype that defines our design philosophy and build methodology.
At Stoneleigh, we will launch the Founders Build Programme, inviting up to six participants to build alongside us, with kits supplied at cost. This first cohort will help establish the production standard as we take the next deliberate step toward competitive prototype motorsport.
The MEV Exocet
The MEV Exocet will be developed as a lightweight, track-focused car with the specific objective of competing in the 750 Motor Club Sports Specials category. Built around the proven MX-5 donor platform, the Exocet offers an honest, mechanically simple route into structured club motorsport. This project will focus on weight reduction, suspension geometry optimisation, safety compliance and repeatable performance — transforming a road-derived kit into a credible race machine. It represents our entry point into regulated competition and provides invaluable data and experience as we progress toward more advanced prototype platforms.
The MX-5
The MX-5 currently serves as a daily driver and hands-on workshop classroom. It is repaired, maintained and incrementally improved in-house as part of a deliberate effort to understand vehicle systems at a fundamental level — from suspension and braking to drivetrain and electrical diagnostics. Over time, this car will evolve into a lightweight, road-legal hill climb machine, enabling rapid and cost-effective entry into competitive motorsport in 2026. It represents the most accessible point of entry into timed competition while reinforcing the principle that engineering competence must be earned through practical experience.
